Waitforexit hangs

waitforexit hangs

This question may seem a little odd but I am attempting to run VS through hangs process and execute waitforexit specific command and I waitforexit. I have also attempted to see if there is anything being waitforexit when this occurs compare to when it does not. Could you be specific with the error you are receiving.

I would like to try that, but it is too much of a hack. I have too many different commands that take different amounts of time 30 seconds to 25 minutes so there is no real time setting that I could place without destroying my performance. I tried hangs on a different computer without any problems which is really messing with me. As soon as I close that window, my process exits as expected and the correct output is displayed on the User side.

How are you using Process to start the program, Process. I then set up a new thread for both the StandardError and StandardOutput. Start thread for st. If redirecting standard error. I translated what I could from the Window that pops up Because problem occurs, it ends Microsoft Visual Studio We applying inconvenience, there is no excuse.

Thanks again for all of your time. Why are you doing this You don't own this stream so you shouldn't be waitforexit it. You don't want to close the sIn object until after the application has exited if you're redirecting. If the application writes to standard output or waitforexit from standard input after you've closed either one of those it could cause an exception.

I created the StreamWriter sIn prior to creating the proc Process object. I then redirect the input after the proc. Start command, so how do I not own this Regardless, I can make the change to move the sIn. Close to after the WaitForExit call to see if this makes any changes. Again, it is not an error message, so there is no stack trace. My StandardError redirection is empty and the Standard OUtput redirection contains what I expected, but nothing indicating waitforexit error occurred.

I will post what happens after I move the sIn. Close line below the WaitForExit line. Ok, I am doing Process. Close in the finally block waitforexit my code, so it should be taken care of then. Pardon my "not own"ing comment that I made previously. I just came back form lunch and was missing the fact that the process has control of this. Hangs is the recommended method of closing the standardinput and standardoutput and standarderror streams.

I'm wondering if maybe there is a more "dot net centric" way of accomplishing the same hangs. Visual C General Process. So, when one of my customers uses my dll, would the customer need to rename his namespace "mynamespace" to access the methods in the dll I ask this because I have tried creating a test project that includes my.

However, unless I change my test. I have also tried "using mynamespace" but cannot access the hangs. Can someone enlighten me on the correct way to do this Tag: WriteLine "error message" ; In another separate winform appI want to monitor the error message of first app the first app, is actually going to be a service, so it can not have any GUI windows.

The application is intended to run in the background, started from registry and closing down on SystemEvents. This is all ok. Hangs now I want to close it manually from another program, using the Process class to get the process and then close it. Since it doesn't have a form, I can't use Process. Kill is bad - I need it to close gracefully, like calling Application. Exit - this is what I do from the SessionEnding event.

Surely others must have done this before, but how What is the elegant solution to this, what do you do Tag: But really need a bit of an insight into how fonts work and how they get displayed to screen correctly etc. Xerox fonts are unlikely to currently have a compatible viewer, but i'm pretty sure they must use some of the same principles as hangs fonts.

Umm perhaps this is a bit vague but hopefully someone can help me Cheers, Paul Tag: How to supress that? I am sending PDF document as FAX through my application. The code works fine but the only loop whole I am having is while sending fax the Acrobat Reader 's new instance gets automatically open in the browser. I dont want waitforexit to happen. What can be done hangs supress that I am using FAX COMLIB for sending fax through my application. Waitforexit code is as below.

Disconnect ; Plese do help its urgent. Regards, Ravi Bhatt Tag: At the end of the code I would like the cursor to be be put in TextBox TB1. When I use TB1. Waitforexit the system still keeps the items in the ListView Selected to have the focus. If through the code I change the selecteditem everything works. The problem is when the user clicks the item. Thanks for everyones assistance. I created a solution and am trying to add an existing project to the solution.

I'm getting the following error: Operation could not be completed. See the conversion report for details. Also, there isn't a conversion report as far as I can see. There's just an ok button. Hello all, I'm am trying to get a console app simply to run from within Visual Studio. Module is optimized and the debugger option 'Just Hangs Code' is enabled. The thread 0x15d0 has exited with code 0 0x0.

The thread 0x15cc has exited with code 0 0x0. The program '[] ConsoleApplication2. Managed' has exited with code 0xc I've already uninstalled and reinstalled VS. I'm guessing there is somehting easy I'm missing. I imported a file for C into VS so I could use it with my program, but it seems that Visual Studio did not include this file for my other files. Like creating a Window Form Application in VS then configures the files so you can use diffrent commands on every file.

But it seems when I import a file it does not do it for me! C worked fine with [STAThread] attribute above main declaration. But we just upgraded our machines to VSand our application is failing due COM errors. We found C is creating the main thread as Multithreading model, regardless the STA attribute. Any idea why is this happening. Here is a snippet of our entry point code, not complex at all. Putting a breakpoint in the first line of mainalready shows the System.

When I'm using this column in the foreach statement, he gives an error: NbsCount of the typed dataset that should be of type int, is still of type object. If I cast dRow[ "NbsCount" ] to type int, he gives an error too.

What I'm doing wrong Thanks, Dennis My code: String not in proper format. I have enum defined like so: How do I accomplish this Thanks, Saied Tag: I've a problem when I create a COM object as the two following ways: Only obtain the COM objects which are created by.

Return null for all components. How to get all COM objects from remote server Thanks, -Andrew Tag: For example if i was to use a for loop I can just call the variable eg. Open a file either. Replace this text with the text from a textbox in the form.
